I have the most amazing loaf of bread sitting on my counter, and I made it myself. with the kneading and the rising and the whole nine yards of awesome goodness. I can't not even tell you

What kind of bread? My in-laws make fantastic rye bread (just a little bit sweet) and potato bread.

ummm...white bread? i guess maybe artisan bread? it's like, flour, salt, yeast, and water. it is dense as hell and really quite good, if I do say so myself. They have more kinds of flour here in the grocery store than I even knew existed, but I just used the ubiquitous "all-purpose" bag. the rye and potato sound good though, I should look into it.
