I'd say that neutral about KY is a good thing. At least you don't hate it outright.

I hope you'll find a nice niche there and have a very fulfilling post grad experience. I think what you're studying is fascinating. Lots of options for consulting, writing etc. even consulting on other people's books and movies etc. Folk Lore is the hidden history that we don't realize we're carrying around in our brains courtesy of our grandparents etc. It tells alot about a culture and country.
