A friendship has changed down here and with it has come a challenge to face some scars from the past.  Definitely a scary prospect but it seems to be necessary.
First actual track meet of the season.  We lost but it was a home meet and went smoothly so I'm content with it.
Need to finish a powerpoint, at least the vocab.  I will deal with all else

Frustrated by grad classes right now not because I'm in them but because I don't know when I'll be done with them.  The three I need are not being offered this summer or fall and quite possibly not next spring or summer.  If so, I will be changed to an admin track, not what I wanted.  (But is it really about what I want ( Read more... )

Today was supposed to be another two-a-day for track.  However, thanks to the rainstorm--and it was quite a deluge for awhile--that moved in during the first practice, our second practice was cancelled.  So of course I am now home hard at work ( Read more... )

I am nearly all done with my level II friend writings! (now I just have level 1 afterschool pieces and level III reciprocal skits)  I am also getting grades slowly inputted.

Well, actually the bells are the same size but I practiced with the more advanced bell choir tonight since I will be filling in for another lady on Palm Sunday.   I did ok overall but brought the music home to work with over the week.

I had dinner tonight with several of the women from my Bad Girls of the Bible study although not all of us showed.  It was a really relaxing and good time of women talk.  K talked about her wedding plans; it's great to see such joy.

First 2-a-day Saturday track practice tomorrow...

We had our first organizational meeting for outdoor track during the TV announcements at the end of the school day.  We had over 60 kids there.  I don't know how many will stick it out but that's a lot of kids.
I got to see the lunar eclipse last night :)  Yes, I'm a geek :) 

I had two girls attempt to quit the track team today during our last week of competition.  I told both of them that they would not receive letters for the season.  I'm frustrated that they put so little importance on the team.  We've worked so hard to overcome injury, and now they've brought the whole team down ( Read more... )
