Yay, got another few in!

So I realize I appear to have dropped off the face of the planet.

In the last 7 weeks, I have...

1. Survived track season
2. Attempted job hunting
3. Taught the remaining curriculum and moved into review
4. GRADUATED with my master's degree

 The second and final day of States was today.  Now I am home and done with another track season (except for the banquet and tracking down all the uniforms...)
The boys did well.

I'm running what might be the last track study hall of the year, I don't know.  The schedule changes at least once a week.  We have four girls in the room or at least under my watch ( Read more... )

I don't like wasps.  One stung me today at track practice and I cried.  I hate getting physically upset in front of the kids.  The spot is slightly swelled; the ice really helped ( Read more... )

It has been Teacher Apprecation Week.  Today we were given dessert (good brownies).  Yesterday was a catered luncheon.  VERY GOOD.  It's the one time all year that I see some people in the teachers' lounge.  Wednesday we got a gift of a whole bunch of colored sticky notes (exciting for me :P)  Tuesday was breakfast and Monday was more dessert.  It ( Read more... )

1. Track season is in the last month.  We have three 2-day meets left although I am unsure if I will be attending State (I know I won't be at Thursday's events since I will be teaching).  It has definitely been an interesting season.  It has been hard at times trying to balance all the different coaches.  Practice times have switched up more than ( Read more... )

We spent yesterday at North Point High School for the Southern MD Invite.  The weather turned out to be gorgeous, not too much sun, very little rain, some wind, comfortable temperature.  We did have one slight delay when they sent us all inside due to an approaching storm--and then sent us all back out five minutes later.  We had four students/ ( Read more... )
