Have you tried cleaning it? I mean, I know it's best done by an expert but it might be cheaper than ordering a new one. My BF, who's a programmer and thus semi-pro at fixing everything computer related than can go wrong, opened his own a few times and the shit that gets in is unbelievable. Maybe it's worth a try.

It may be a dust issue. I would give compressed air a try first and if that doesn't work, you may have to crack her open.
