Not to mention, "discreet" is just cooler looking. Why would you want to misspell it?
I love love love the monsters. And oh man, there's so much crappy, condescending "being a kid" fiction and other artwork out there that it's so exciting to see it done well, honest and thoughtful and beautiful, and the sketches and everything are so prettyyyy.

Yeah, discreet just looks pretty when it's written down. Discrete makes me think "concrete" like, the pavement. Lame.
It's true. I think it makes people kind of uncomfortable to think of kids as entire humans with entire human personalities, so they construct a super two-dimensional kid-mind for themselves that's a lot less intimidating.
Also, it'll be more about being 14-15, so still kind of a kid, maybe more an awkward teen. Dunno. it's weird and in-between, just like the ghouglies. Ha ha.
Also Caroliiiine! There's a big pile of homework between now and finals preventing me from having a social life, but after that, we need to do like sleepovers and stuff all summer! I think that'd be super-keen 'cause I miss you.
