forgive my stupidity
but i dont really understand why going down on his knees would inflame the audience and then incurr a fine/ban

LOL, yeah, I don't understand either. I doubt anybody understands it. DFB must be really bored to investigate such nonsense. Imho, this is the most ridiculous coach ban ever.

This seems pretty silly to me. He was sent off so why try and punish him further? As long as he wasn't being violent or abusive towards officials I don't see the big deal.

I like to see a coach that gets into the game and shows some emotion. lol

Oh, Mirko shows emotions, alright. And yes, he can overdo it sometimes. Which is why he was sent off back in April and which is why, during this recent game, he was asked to take it down and not say anything more. Which is why he said nothing but sank down onto his knees in this scene (a close chance that was stopped with some maybe foul worthy tackle). The fourth official interpreted it as disrespectful and asked the ref to send him off. Huh. No violence or anything (he gets emotional, yes, but not in a violent way).

Now, a ban? Oh, come on. What shall we do with Mirko? Tie him down? Mmmmhhh, why not? ;)

That sounds completely mental. Maybe they are just picking on him/making an example of him I remember in the Bayern/Kaiserslautern match the reactions from the Kasierslautern coach were pretty intense and he was never sent off. Oh DFB, you make no sense!

I am completely for any punishment that involves tying up! ;)

Idk what they're doing or why or why they sent him off in the first place. So far, this is just a regular investigation, but any possible fine (or ban, wtf) coming out of this would be really mental. Like, wow. LOL.

Oh, and as for the emotional thing:

Irk? DFB should leave me coach alone. Like, really.

One should think so. But apparently, not.

Le sigh. I'll be watching this ;)

I haven't found any news on that one. Not that I was exactly looking. But my guess is, if Mirko gets a little slap because of this, Hecking will get one as well. Needless to say, I was GREATLY amused to see both BFFs got sent off the same day - one day before their shared birthday, no less.

SIGH. DFB needs to chill.
