Just realized that I never showed my newest picture with Rick. Chevron con in May in Birmingham was the fourth time I met him. Here are the previous pictures for those that don't know them yet - you'll see that both of us got much more relaxed over the years:

Och, ich bin ganz froh, dass er keinen Hut aufhatte. Am anderen Tag hatte er wohl einen und hat ihn auch nicht abgenommen. Ich finde, die Hüte machen ihn älter, er sieht da wie mein Großvater aus.

Hast Du die alten Fotos auch angeklickt? Hm, oder vielleicht besser lieber nicht, ich sehe darauf verboten aus ;)
Aber echt lustig, wie wir uns in Wells kaum getraut haben, ihn anzufassen, und jetzt gibt es schon solche Fotos. Bin gespannt, was als nächstes kommt.

Last time in Vancouver he even recognized me - I had shown him pictures with my actionfigure stories the previous year.

I hope one day you also will have the chance to meet him, he is such a nice gentleman.

You are not by any chance also a fan of "Doctor Who" or "Torchwood"? Next weekend I will go to London for another convention and meet John Barrowman, who is also a very nice down to Earth guy, just like Rick.

I love John, I adore him! I even tell you a secret (hope nobody reading that) - I am the translator who translate into Russian last Torchwood and 5-6 seasons of Doctor Who. Unofficial, of course, but you should understand how close person gets when had to translate every word and expression etc.

So PLEASE, may I ask you to take an autograph from John for me? I'll pay you via PayPal, if you like, any amount! I can even send you a decent size photo to print and give to him to sign. May I? Will you? Oh! I'm SO EXITED!!! If you will do that for me, it will made my whole year, I suppose.Please? *big bagging eyes*

LOL I hadn't expected this enthusiastic reply ;) Why don't you say so in your profile? I checked! I also am not sure if you ever replied to any of my JB related LJ entries? Last year I did a long and detailed report about the concert in Cardiff, with pictures and videos. Plan to do this again, so stay tuned! Have you seen the video of Scott singing "Rhinestone Cowboy" on youtube? This was a Cardiff special. Wonderful

Yeah, I don't know, maybe not, he really has a very calming presence. You just feel comfortable with him. Maybe next time you can come too?

Do I remember right that you started to watch "Doctor Who" and/or "Torchwood" last time we talked? So you do recognize "Captain Jack Harkness", do you?

John Barrowman also is a very nice and wonderful person, in fact, he has a lot in common with Rick. One day I am going to make a post about the similarities. Both love dogs, for a start, and diving and skiing and a bit danger in general. I also do have pictures of both in orange jackets ;)
