Very festive indeed! :D

(And those penguins are seriously adorable! My guess is, you won't be able to keep to only one a year, haha)

Sorry they're a bit blurry. I'll take a better picture of all three of them once I have the new one!

I love them because they are different. There are many manufactories doing the usual pyramids and smoking men and nutcrackers. But to make people buy new stuff, you have to invent new stuff.

Check my Christmas market pictures from last year, there I have a picture of the stall and all of the ones available. So, which one should I get next? (or two, or three LOL)

I like the one that's holding.. the sun? the big yellow round thing, in front of the tree. And the one that's skating or skiing, I can't quite tell, with the blue on its feet and one leg in the air.

You're right, that looks indeed like a sun. I'll have to ask them about it.

Yes, I think the blue is a ski. That one is cute indeed! I think I have decided on one with skates now though, either the one doing skating or better the one lying on his belly with skates in the air LOL If they have them, sometimes they're sold out.

I'll keep you updated!

I love the gray and white Santa, and the snowmen. I have a thing for snowmen, ever since I saw the movie. Beautiful music, but it's the snowman that I loved. I have a wooden one that kind of looks like yours, and I have a couple that hang on the wall all year long. You have some really cool things, don't you. I enjoy them all in your posts.

Sometimes in a shop I am immediately drawn towards something and the Santa was such a case. It was at the main station, I was waiting for visiting friends to arrive. Quite lucky!

Which movie, Frozen? I have yet to see it. I hope they show it in TV this year.

Thank you, glad you liked them! Do you have pictures of your snowmen I can look at?

If you love snowmen, do you know this video? It's adorable:

And here is a German classic from 1943:

No, it's this one:

It's beautiful.

The Snowman from 1943 was different. A little disturbing, maybe? LOL I'd seen the Lily one somewhere before, and quite like it.

You really outdid yourself! I haven't even started on decorating my house yet. Even when I do though, I have a feeling it won't hold a candle to yours.

Side note that has nothing to do with the decorations: I love that cabinetry! It's gorgeous!

ETA: Bonus points for penguins! :)

Well, I'd love to see yours anyway, if you do these kind of posts! It's always nice to get a look into how friends live.

Thank you! These little wooden figures are very typical for Saxony, the state I live in. They get made here, up in the mountains, and exported to the whole world. We once were at the Nuremberg Christmas market and they do have much different decorations there.

Please check also the other posts as they have better and more detailed pictures - I was a bit lazy and didn't do the light up things this time.

To be honest, I only did it tonight as tomorrow my family wants to come and look at it all ;) I was supposed to do it last weekend (always at the 1st advent) but had cut my finger and didn't feel like it.

I love my Schrankwand as well! I bought it in 1999 when I moved into my apartment. You can't get things like this anymore. Nowadays it's all small open space shelves. I need lots of space to put all my stuff away. The wood color is "cherry ( ... )

This is what I am talking about. That is definitely not enough storage space for me! Where to people put all their stuff? http://www.pharao24.de/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/t/v/tv-schrankwand-calama-in-hochglanz-weiss-7-teilig.jpg... )

Thank you! Will you share pictures of yours? I'd love to see them!

In our family it is tradition to do them at the weekend of 1st advent, which was last week. This is why I said I am late.

Thank you! I always fear the work involved but once it's finished it is a pleasure to look at. Taking it all away again and fit into the proper boxes is a nightmare though LOL

I think I'll get the penguin with the skates next:
