My sister-in-law and new nephew are doing well, as of last night when I talked to them. (As for my brother, if his wife and son are well, then he is well. One of the better things he said to me yesterday was that he was anxious to get home not so much for the baby but to see his wife. He’s right; as long as the baby has people to feed him and touch him and keep him warm and comfortable he’s OK, whereas my SIL’s hudbans is not replaceable!)
So now that they’re all OK, I can go back to worrying about minor problems. One of the least important issues caused by my nephew’s hurry to get here is that I’m not done his blanket! I’ve been getting a bit sick of it anyway, having been working on the silly thing since May, but it’s only about 22″ square now. It will be a bit more when blocked, I think. I think that what I will do is to complete one more section, adding about 1.5″ on all sides, then add a border of either single crochet or i-cord and call it a carseat blanket. If they want a bigger blankie I will happily make one - but not out of sock yarn!!
