David Cameron's been at it again. Spouting utter bullshit as per usual - this time about "The Enemies of Enterprise". While I'd love to sit and idly make Star Trek jokes, it's much more serious than that, because these shadowy enemies are none other than his good old punching bag, the public sector workers. To hear him talk, you'd think civil ( Read more... )

We were suggesting a few weeks ago that considering our holidays and relative job security, our job could be reclassified as "Laughing at the taxpayer."

Then we saw the new terms and conditions that we're being offered.

And the joke isn't as funny any more.

In other news, I'm going to join the Taxpayers' Alliance so that I can complain about the government spending money on anything that doesn't directly benefit me.

Like schools in poorer areas. Last week the Alliance were saying that if they get lots of extra money and still perform badly, why give them the extra money? It's common sense innit luv.

Sorry, no brain activity to engage properly, except to say: TWAT. He's such a twat. I know, this does not actually make it any better, actually, it's making it worse, but, ooohhh, what an aweful twat he is; I can't even watch him on the news without shouting back all the time (I am the LovelyFlatmate's gratuitous evening entertainment in the comedy genre). How did such a twat ever - well, I know how, but the question needs to be asked nevertheless; it's almost a fundamental question, the answer to which will somehow contribute to finding a formula to how to Change Things (TM). I'm really sorry, I'm not even able to discuss him in any serious ways any more, and it's not all due to ToDD addling my brain. It's also because David 'STFU' Cameron overrides all my synapses and brings me to instant!discourse collapse.

Even without a ToDD, that's my usual reaction to seeing his smug, shiny face on the television. It's like the Orwellian two-minutes' hate.

BTW, have you seen the clip of his recent appearance on The One Show? It is a thing of joy.

Yes, he's just so... squeaky, it's disconcerting, really. And possibly, the apoplectic reaction will not wear off once ToDD is gone.

I can't watch that. I just read the description of it on the news, and thus I know that I am not yet ready to face it; I need more tea and possibly alcohol before I can look at that. I am still reeling from a longish portrait of Sarah Palin I saw two days ago, so I need to gather my strength before I am ready to face SmugSoap Cameron.
