The irony is that Pinkie Pie is the real scientist here, as she makes observations, makes predictions, and holds off from making any comprehensive theory behind what is going on. But Twilight Sparkle does not bother to set aside her own personal biases, and yet one of the main goals of science is to avoid sticking to personal biases resolutely. And just because you can't explain something doesn't mean that it cannot be explained. The unexplained is not the unexplainable.
