Digital image management strategy

I've been doing a bunch of reading and testing and dinking around with image management ideas. I think I've finally settled on a reasonable management plan:

1. Picasa desktop client to perform local tasks like EXIF tag management, inventory, and basic editing needs. The GeoSetter application does a nice job of managing geotagging in a Flickr ( Read more... )

I think you would really enjoy geotagging. In fact, I know you would. Your image naming standard is already doing something akin to that. :)

I have, slowly, managed to get a coherent handle on workflow.

But oh, the teething pains. I've actually written about it, if you want to read my thoughts.

And getagging is fun... reminds me, I have a couple of dozen to gtt to, before they join the list of... "Oh crap, I forgot where I took those".

My only complaint (now, I had some before the last update) is that I can't just delete EXIF data. If I do that, it appears to be gone, and uploads anyway.
