Billy wandered down a hallway, pausing every few steps to listen. Something caught his ear about halfway down the corridor and he stopped. Teddy, camoflaged, ran into him, nearly knocking him down as Captain America strode out of the nearest room He was followed closely by Tony Stark. Both gave Billy an odd look before heading for the stairs.
The spellcaster whirled on his boyfriend as soon as he was sure they were gone.
"What the fuck, Teddy?"
"I was worried, so I snuck upstairs. Why do you follow them around, anyway?"
Billy smiled a disturbing smile. "It amuses me."
Teddy quirked an eyebrow. "Do tell."
"Stark flirts like he flirts with everything else on legs," Billy explained. "And Cap dances around him and avoids the subject, but not Stark, himself, which would be the much simpler solution."
"You have way too much time on your hands," Teddy murmured, following him to the stairwell.
"Oh, my," Billy said.
He pointed down to a landing a floor beneath them where Cap had Stark pinned to the wall.
"Oh, my," Teddy agreed.
They watched for a moment.
"And that officially removes the stairwell from the list of places we cannot make out. Let’s take the elevator."
