073: Capering
Stacey was reluctant to take Gert to the park by herself. Dale said it would be good for both of them. Stacey wasn’t so inclined to agree.
But she took her, anyway. Dale’s comments about socializing ringing in her head. She held the child’s hand and crossed the street., keys tucked in her purse. Gert glared ahead at the other kids and followed Stacey, much to her disappointment, to a bench.
It didn’t take long for her to go running into the playground, though, when Tina Minoru and her daughter arrived.
Stacey was relieved, both to have someone to talk to, and to see her daughter playing so happily with Nico.
She grinned and made a note to tell Dale he’d been right.
