So, as much as I am loathe to admit it? I have spent my entire college & high school careers badmouthing Faulkner for no good reason. I suppose I shouldn't have been so quick to judge, solely having read Light in August. I still hate literature about the Old South, though, and you can quote me on that.

So, apparently I have a job interview next Wednesday for a job that isn't any more or less soul-killing than any other job I might be hired to do. The woman who works in the HR department just emailed me a friendly little checklist asking me if I'm alright with a few of the company's office rules. In the effort to continue my lifelong trend of being interested in things/subjects/professions that are relatively useless, I have been reading about heraldry, today. Other than having a big orange ladybug fly into my head while I was walking to my car after class and then seeing a poor damaged pigeon roosting in the middle of Tropicana during rush hour, sitting as though on her nest, today was just like yesterday and I should never have gotten out of bed.

Well, I finished all of my homework early, somehow, and am at a loss for what to fill the rest of the night up with. I already fixed lunch for tomorrow (a cheese, tomato and baby spinach sandwich wrapped in a napkin and a tiny green apple), and am thinking about maybe redecorating my livejournal which, I have now accidentally realized, reminds me ( Read more... )

I have some embryonic news to post once it develops a little past the beginning stages, but it suffices to say that instead of being Layabout Good For Nothing Beyond Writing Papers Natalie I'm officially going to be a Real Live Adult Natalie soon, probably mid-October.

I have laryngitis, can't sleep, and am watching the Tour de France on T.V. The whole world has turned upside-down.
