So, apparently I have a job interview next Wednesday for a job that isn't any more or less soul-killing than any other job I might be hired to do. The woman who works in the HR department just emailed me a friendly little checklist asking me if I'm alright with a few of the company's office rules. One of the rules has to do with not smoking, even on breaks, and the others have to do with how much pay I'd like to receive and if I'm alright with "hand readers" for clocking in? I have no idea what a hand reader is (beyond what the words imply, of course), but I am imagining a 007 situation in my future and this has become one of the highlights I'm looking forward to enjoying if I get the job.
