I loved the book....soooo freakin much!!!

I think I was a little slow getting some of the subtle hints throughout the book. I think during the flashback, half way through, I was just piecing together that Snape loved Lily :P

I also had to laugh at the poor choice of names at the end. Albus Severus...sooo horrible...and Scorpio...thank god those kids are wizards otherwise they would get beaten up in high school :P

Harry/Hermione was sooo adorable though...and Harry/Ginny...and Tonks/Lupin...there were a lot of awesome couples in that book :)

It was a fantastic book!

But I really did pick up on some of the hints quite quickly... And some stuff I already suspected, like the Snape/Lily thing. :)

lol those names were so ridiculous!

Ginny: It's another boy!
Harry: Cool! Lets name him Albus!
Ginny: ...
Harry: Albus Severus!
Ginny: *shudder* No! Fred! You already got to name our two other kids! I name him Fred!
Harry: *glare* I'm the Boy-Who-Lived-Twice and I say ALBUS SEVERUS!!!!!

All relationships were adorable!

some of the stuff were kind of obvious: like Dumbledore's wand being the Elder Wand

See? That's the kind of thing I never pick up on. It came as a complete surprise to me when it was taken.

I'm so glad you liked it. We still differ on Snape, as I still see him as a coward and a jerk, even more so now, but I can see where both sides can be satisfied with his story. Now that I've read it twice, I think the only part that really continues to bother me is Fred. *sigh*

I believe my final order of favorites will have DH tied with OotP at the top.

Someone on Fandom Wank said they were just glad that Draco's kid would grow up to pester John Crichton. Hee!

lol It's just that when they said Elder Wand I immediately thought of movie 4 and that scene where Harry saw Dumbledore taking a memory and putting on the Pensieve and that wand he was using, then I'm like "Hey! Maybe Dumbledore has it!"

Oh, like I said, there's still a part of me that hates Snape. But I love how complex his character is and all he had to face...

I guess DH is my favorite... then POA, then OOTP.
I still can't get over the fact that POA was the one book that made me a fan. *loves POA*

I just finished reading it. I wanted to make a post, but my thoughts are still so scattered. I can't say anything else other than "thank you so much, Jo". It's been a wonderful ride, hasn't it?

The relationships in this book... all kinds, not just romantic ones... pretty much floored me. I love the trio's friendship, I love the DA's and OotP's devotion to Harry, and even the twisted relationship between Bellatrix and Voldemort (because really, I'm sure that Voldemort DID care about her in the end), also the Malfoys, generally being a family.

I know! I still don't know what to think, really... I'm so happy with the book, but so sad it's all over...

True, all relationships were great. The trio, the romantic ones, Harry/Dumbledore (I LOVE Harry/Dumbledore), and then everyone fighting together to protect Harry at the end...

*loves*

i was really upset about lupin too. ever since sirius died, i became more attached to lupin, and right before the book came out i was convinced that he was going to die. so not fair. and it was really hard to accept the fact that tonks died as well. and then we're not even told how teddy is raised! he just kinda shows up and we're led to believe he's close with the potters but doesn't live with them.

the battle of hogwarts was amazing. so was kreacher's tale and malfoy manor. there were times when i was rocking back and forth nervously, but once everyone got through ok i thought wow that was an awesome chapter! you're right, the action was really cool.

my favorite part was the ron/hermione makeout session though. lol. just cuz i've been waiting for that for at least 4 books and they've been waiting for 7 years...<3

yay for HP and for JK Rowling!
