Title: Games, Board and Otherwise.
Summary: It’s only a game. For now.

Disclaimer: A seventeen-year-old high school junior and a twenty-two-year-old college senior do not own CSI. Trust us. We'd be the first to know.

The point, Hodges supposed, was not for it to be true love. )

Good golly, that's fantastic. I should be working, but I saw the pairing and couldn't resist. I think I love the last two paragraphs the best. Mmm, that absolutely made my afternoon. ;)

Wow, that was... much better than I imagined a fic with Ecklie involved in ANY romantic pairing could be. I love the way you articulate the tug-of-war in their relationship. And of course you had to give me an inferiority complex by mentioning your ages; which is which? (Twenty-year-old college senior here, but then I don't write as much amazing fic as you do!)

Thanks! I'm an Ecklie fan, (I wrote a loooong fic with him and an OMC) and I think it's rubbing off on Kate a little bit. ^_-

Oh, and I'm seventeen, while amazonqueenkate is twenty-two. ^^

Oh God, so much tension...! This is amazing: the description of the game, the rules, everything!

sarcasticsra, you said you wrote Ecklie/OMC, and it's long: would you mind giving me the link? *CSI deprived because I don't have cable*

Hee, thanks! We're glad you liked. ^^

And yes! I did. I have CSI general series for fanfic100 and that was one of my many fics: The World Vs. Conrad Ecklie. Hope you enjoy. ^^

I'm writing a sequel right now, because Kate talks me into things. =P

When I first tried to read this, I was tired. Really tired. So tired that all I understood was that Monopoly was involved, and then I proceeded to drop from exhaustion and sleep. For a moment, I thought they were actually playing the board game for real. It was safer for me to just hit the sack, see? Because why would they play the game? And when? On break? In Ecklie’s office? For the hell of it?

But now I’m back and OMG THIS IS THE BEST EVER!

I know I told you I was wary (i.e. terrified, in that excited, ‘what does she have up her sleeve now?’ kind of way) when I saw the pairing. Even though they never even really speak, this is still really gripping; once it has your attention, you don’t stop reading until the text ends and then you go, “WTF? Where’s the rest? This can’t be the end!” Alas, sadly, it is.

I’m trying to find the right words… ah, stalemate. I love how this is about stalemate, but they won’t give it up. Ecklie locks David, David escapes, neither wins, neither looses. They were used to trick or to trap; they were used ( ... )

The CSI was intentionally ambiguous, but Kate and I were thinking of Nick. It's up to you, though. ^^

And thank you so much. We're glad you like it.

I really like this piece, myself, so maybe I'll try to con Kate into writing a sequel with me. =D

P.S. When I first tried to read this, I was tired. Really tired. So tired that all I understood was that Monopoly was involved, and then I proceeded to drop from exhaustion and sleep. For a moment, I thought they were actually *playing* the board game for real. It was safer for me to just hit the sack, see? Because why would they play the game? And when? On break? In Ecklie’s office? For the hell of it?

You are so cute! =D

There needs to be more Ecklie love. Heartless bastard that he is, I really do enjoy reading about him.
