I didn't know that about Paul Auster and Lydia Davis. I've actually never read any Paul Auster, but I have three books of his on my shelf, so I probably should get to them eventually.

Oh, btw, I wanted to let you know, I did get the e-mail, and I promise to write back. It's just this Superman essay is eating my brain at the moment.

I've never read any Paul Auster (or any Haruki Murakami) either, though I do have three books of his on my shelf, but they're the New York Trilogy, and so are in one volume. I didn't know about Auster and Davis until I went to the Wikipedia just after typing his name. Nice bit of coincidence there.

I guess since one of the three books I have is The New York Trilogy, I have five.
