Yes, I'm alive...

Feb 19, 2021 20:53

I figured I should let people know that I'm alive and kicking, despite hell freezing over. *lol*  Okay, so it wasn't hell, but here in South Texas, it's very rare for everything to freeze and ice over. In fact, it's been over a century since we've seen this kind of weather. It's been a week since we've seen anything over freezing and have had some ( Read more... )

Thanks for updating, my dear! It's good to know that you're okay. I heard about the winter storm in Texas on the news and thought, goodness, that's normal for winter up here in Canada but to people who aren't used to it it must be just horrible. Stay under those blankets! I'm sending good, WARM thoughts your way. ♥

Yeah, Texas just couldn't cope. Millions were without power for days. I grew up in Iowa, so it's not like I not was completely unfamiliar with this kind of weather. However, I have been living here 15 years, so I'll admit it's been quite a while since I've had to deal with sub-zero temperatures... and I don't like it. My joints don't like it. *lol*

At least there's supposed to be a return to a more normal weather pattern here starting tomorrow afternoon.

Me, too! The weather is supposed to start to warm up tomorrow afternoon. But tonight will still drop into the 20's, which is why I'm still in my blanket fort. :)

It's wonderful to hear from you, Sweetie. I am trying to "re-bloom" and join back in with LJ. Life started at me kinda much, and I just went away. I'm sorry I haven't been around, but I hope you know I was praying for Texas, and you, and many others.

I would love for you to get the weather we have. Chapel Hill has been its regular ol' self with a pretty mild Winter. :( Ugh!

hehe! *big hugs* ♥

No need to apologize, hon. I think life has kind of kicked everyone a little hard this past year. I've not been hanging around LJ/DW much myself.

The weather has been crazy here. We'll hit 80 one day, and drop into the 40's the next. It's no wonder people get sick with the weather bouncing around all the time. But, no doubt, that freezing spell we had, with the power grid going down... Well, there was no excuse for that. They had plenty of warning--over ten years to prepare the system. The just chose not to. But I'm afraid nothing's going to change. *sigh*

Anyway, it's good to hear from you. Take care, and stay safe! *hugs*

Sounds like us--70 down to 30 up to 75 down to 32... crazy! x( Yes, that is perfect Pneumonia conditions. *shakes head*

I don't anything is going to change, either. People are just people. It's pretty ugly out there.

Thank you, Sweets, I am happy to hear back from you. Thanks for being understanding.

You take care and stay safe, too, hon. I just stay at home. *hugs you* ♥
