He's holding his cane tightly in his right hand as usual - but his left is clamped tightly

[oh thank goodness. He practically flings himself at his uncle, though he keeps his eyes shut very tightly even as he's hugging him]

Rhode happened...

[ALL THE HUGS FOR ALLEN while I plan Rhode's bloody murder]

What did she do to you?

She... she gave me my sight back. Temporarily. With... provisions. [there's a bitter tone to his voice, and he's definitely not moving from that comforting hug]

...We're going back to your room. I'm making you hot chocolate. [Also I'm going to carry you there like a princess]

[in spite of himself, that makes him smile a little - and then he makes a surprised sound and flails when uncle picks him up] Aah! I can walk, you know.

No arguing! [Holding him close, aaaah my nephew somebody touched my thing that is mine and I love and now murder must happen]

[since he doesn't really want to argue badly enough to push it, he falls quiet, resting his head on Phillip's shoulder and covering his eyes with his hand again - keeping them squeezed tightly shut is making his head hurt a bit]

[Once we get back to your room there will be lots of cuddling and hair petting and hot chocolate with marshmallows and sprinkles and cream]

[and he will totally soak it all up but he really can't shake the upset and trauma no matter how much cuddling and wonderful hot chocolate there is]

... You're okay, right? Nothing happened to you? She showed me... really horrible things.

I'm fine. I'm alive and unharmed, and you know I'm alive and unharmed because I'm sitting here, hugging you with no sign of injury. Whatever she showed you wasn't real, now tell my why it can't be.

[deep breath, nods slowly]

She showed me... people I cared about, hurt or dead or... equally awful things. ... A lot of them were people I'd never had the chance to see before. [like Lavi, who had been Allen's best friend since they were young, but not young enough for Allen to have known him when he still had his sight. Or Kanda, who he'd only ever seen in another vision of Rhode's... also dead, or dying. Or Miranda, or the young Kanda... he shudders thinking of that]

None of it was real, Allen. Everyone is safe.

I know... I know, but... it was awful. I'll always... those memories won't go away. I'll never be able to think of them again without... thinking about that, those things... I'm so glad everyone's okay, but it's still... it's horrible!
