[Its been quite awhile since Miranda has made anything complicated in the kitchen and was in a bright enough mood to try something new. She wanted to try making tarts, she's always wanted to try making tarts... But apparently it was a little tougher than she had first thought

[Don't mind Link. He's just idling somewhere behind her, watching as she stares into the stove.]

Miss Lotto, I do believe it will not go anywhere. You may take your eyes off of it for now.

Well, now is your chance to have a nice, calm, civilized afternoon.

[churchninja]

Indeed. Shall I pour for you?

[His fingers are already moving to grasp the kettle's handle.]

Oh, please.

[She holds out her cup for him.]

[This is probably the most civil he's been with anyone in a long while, considering all of the Allens running about tend to act like gentlemanly brats.

He fills her teacup before his own, then rests the kettle on the tray to begin sifting through the tea packets.]

How is your knitting?

[It sounds forced, but he's not the world's best at making small talk.]

[Miranda mixes in her sugar before selecting her tea.]

I haven't done much since January. Once the cold weather dies down so does the knitting... I did make another sweater for Colin and added little tags to them that say "Please return to north wing." encase he gets lost again.

As long as the Dressing Room doesn't decide to remove his clothing, that will easily remedy any future disappearances.

[Link adds a tea bag to his cup and then uses his spoon to press it down, watching idly as the water slowly changes color.]

Y-You haven't told me anything about y-yourself, Link... H-How are you?

[churchninja]

I am well, Miss Lotto. What else would you like to know?

[He doesn't think he's an interesting topic for conversation but he'll humor her.]

Has anything new happened? How has your time been in the dressing room? What do you think about this place? Have you met another version of yourself? How many Allen's have you found?

[churchninja]

[He looks up, ceasing his stirring to stare at her. Lightly, he clears his throat.]

Amittedly, my time at the dressing room has not been terrible. However, I sometimes find myself at a loss for what to do. Currently, there is one other version of myself that I am aware of. As for the Allens, there are too many to count.

[There. Has he missed anything?]

[She chuckles softly.]

Does this mean you're going to give up on watching them all?

[Giving up sounds bad...]

I prefer to call it selective observation.

[Miranda suddenly jerks in place as if she's realized something important... Then she goes a little quiet and sips her tea.]

What if... The 14th isn't as bad as everyone thinks?...

I would rather base my opinions on my own findings.

[He takes a slow drink of tea, using it as an excuse to taper off into silence.]
