It's a baby's birthday~

[There's a small balloon tied just outside the entrance to a courtyard, one of the summer ones and a small one at that. It's night outside but the area is lit with more than a few tiki torches so that it almost resembles a late afternoon glow

[There's the sound of a baby giggling coming from the entrance and Blake peers out to the courtyard curiously, Avari clapping her hands in glee as she watches Seren play with the pup]

[Glances over and then back at his own daughter and the puppy.] Avari can join her if you want, Zane won't hurt her.

[Nods and brings Avari to where Seren and Zane are, putting her down before going back to Ehan] I feel almost bad for not bringing a gift for Seren.

It's alright, didn't tell very many people of her birthday anyway.

[Actually... The only person he's told is Hobollen and he doesn't know Vampvi is back yet.]

[P-peering into this courtyard cautiously, a box held behind his back. He knows it's the right place, can tell by the scents and the sounds and Seren's delighted giggling. But still. Nervous is as nervous does, and Allen has never been to a proper birthday celebration before - not that he can remember, at least.

Still, after a moment of peering at the bb, he sort of... shuffles inside awkwardly. Making his way over towards daddy now, yup.]

[It's the awkward movements that give Allen away to the Crow, he saw it out the corner of his eye and looks over to his cloaked figure.]

Found your way here easily?

[There's a slight jump when Chase speaks up - it's probably laughable, watching a vampire jump - and Allen nods abruptly, walking a bit more normally over to stand beside the Crow; though his smile is still slightly nervous, of course.]

Yeah... it wasn't really too hard.

[More like odd, even with his stealth and training he finds it hard to surprise a vampire. Turning his gaze back to the smaller two when Allen reaches his side.]

Expect we gave ourselves away anyway.

[Miranda was just going to take her Chinese Crested, Colin, out for a bathroom break and maybe a little walk when she spotted the balloon... Balloon's mean party right?... Thats what they normally went. Curiosity got the better of her and she walked inside with her small dog which quickly turned away from her to sniff at the grass and some near by bushes.]

[Ehan is moving from his spot at the wall to pull the licking puppy off of Seren.] Come on, now. Game's not fair that way.

[Miranda finally notices him and smiles, walking over to the group.]

Lavi! Did you put that balloon outside?

[Looks up.] It's Ehan, actually. And yes, it was around her wrist earlier.

This post makes me want an Australian shepherd now ;;

[He's actually drawn to the noise, moreso than to the smells. So, have a curious (younger!) Aiden lingering by the door, and watching.]

[Seren lets out a squeal as Zane starts to lick at her face and Ehan pushes off of the wall with another soft chuckle.] Come on now, Zane. It's not fair to her if you do that.

[He picks the puppy up off and sets him back down a small distance away, then helps Seren sit back up.]

They're so cute !

[He crouches down a bit to get a better look at the puppy - knows better than to pay too much attention to another man's kid, even if she is adorable. What are his chances of the puppy bounding toward him?]

[Zane does because new person get! Letting out a happy little bark and wagging his tail enthusiastically as he tries to lick at Lavi's hand.]

Zane! Get back here you pu-- [Looking now at who Zane went to meet and just sort of. Pauses. Everything pauses. There's the familiar noise of recognition but oddly that's as far as it goes. There's no relief at seeing him again, or pain, or anger.]

[..a puppy? and a little baby?

poking his head in for a moment to see what's going on-- oh..

oh.]

[Zane picks up on the new scent and lets out a yip, running over to Allen. Now has part of his pant leg in his mouth, going 'grrrr' and shaking his little head playfully.

Ehan looks over and raises an eyebrow.] Oi, Zane. Let go of that.

[Hasn't quite recognized Allen for who he is.]

[erk, jerking back a bit. b-but.. puppy! that's so cute. puppyyyy.]

Is-- Is that his name? [r-reaching down to scratch him on the head.]

It is. [A quick glance assures him that this Allen isn't the one he's most familiar with in the dressing room.

Zane lets go of his pant leg and lets Allen scratch his head.] Sorry about him, he's just over excited. [Catches the lack of an arm and recalls what Blake told him earlier.] How long have you been back?
