'Ello there. I'm Kit and although I'm a bit new to LJ-styled rping, I'm a rather old hat at other styles of rping (I think I've finally got the hang of it, but feel free to bop me if I'm doing something wrong). I'm also rather new to DGM, having just read through the manga not too long ago (I am caught up to the new chapter though), and haven't

Hi~~ I think old styles are fine. The DR isn't very strict on styles, anyway. :3
DID yes, I tend to call it MPD most of the time, too, since people understand that more than DID. We all want excuses for winging it. :'D /guilty
...I'm Scarlet btw. Nice to meetcha! Hope you fun here at the Dressing Room~ 8DD

Well it's more that there are journals and threads and such, I'm more used to boards and forums. In the end it's just a matter of where to put what.
I have a (un)healthy curiosity for psychology, so I try to correct people--but mostly they just give me dirty looks and tell me to go back to working on my coding.
Nice to meetya, too. I had actually been reading through your logs (since you have them set up and linked so nicely) and rather enjoyed your characters. :3

Ah, I've done boards and forums a few times, except I tend to drop out after a while because not having separate threads for each commenter gets confusing for me. >w>;
XD I actually took a course on psychology last year, and now I tend to get irritated at how my parents react to those "mother kills her 5 month old child" stories on the news.
:'D Aha, thanks~ I need to get to logging threads for the rest of my characters, but I'm.. really too lazy. |D Which reminds me I have to finish up his character relationships, too. sdfasdah

...That is so weird typing on an emo vampire journal. But anyway hi! Welcome to the DR, your Lavi sounds pretty interesting. He should meet my Firefly Lenalee, they can bond over their craziness. I tend to call DID MPD as well, 'Ru' sounds pretty cool ^^

Oh dear River!Lenalee and Forty-Nine would be like the crazy parade. They can trade stories about their hallucinations like normal people gossip about their boyfriends.
No worries, DID is the 'new' term, which I hate but MPD is no longer the legal term anymore.

I hate it when they change terms on me, it makes everything difficult. Oh well, expect I'll get used to using it.

Psh, it took forever for people to stop referring to MPD as 'schizo' when they made that change, so I don't think the new term will catch on any time soon.

Whoa, never knew DID was MPD. I thought they were different things.
I hope you have a great time.

DID is the new name for MPD, but they're not exactly the same. Those funny psychologists like to mess around with terms and definitions, but for the sake of my own sanity and yours, they're the same.
Thanks!
