Oh the Wonder of pic spam

Sigh, well, I'm brokety broke broke, which is fun for me. I was on the phone with HSBC for an hour (which is great when you're dialing internationally) and finally got them to unlock my account so I could go on line and figure out what the heck was wrong with it. Turns out I'm out of money. Orange has been charging my account for my cell phone ( Read more... )

If you look at a map of the US, Michigan's the one that looks like a mitten with lakes all around it. Ohio is just south of Michigan. Ohio is a boring, boring state, says the former Michigander.

The pictures are cute! The isolation is the hardest part of quarantine, especially when it's the middle of the night and they can't call anyone, and they refuse to do anything because their Social is tanked... It's at that point that you realize that pets are the best things ever, because they will get a fair amount of Social from playing with the pets.

I imagine watching Malcolm try to slapdance would be entertaining. And Gilbert IS fun to make over! As long as you don't try to breed him as is, because his genetic chin is NOT GOOD. Think "Jay Leno." You've got him looking a bit Johnny Depp-ish.

*Serches Map of the US* Huh, I'm not sure where I thought it was but that's definitely not it. Seeing as they were in California right before Ohio I thought it would be more west.

Thanks :) I like that Finch is so outgoing and playful, but man, as soon as he moves away from Robin's journalism career reward social and fun just plummet! I don't have the Pets EP unfortunately, which I guess is why he had to resort to Sir Bricks a lot.

Gilbert walked into the family's new business so I let Snow make him over because the blond eyebrows were beginning to get on my nerves and I haven't gotten around to opening his lot again recently. Will definitely keep that in mind about the Leno chin, I assume that knowledge comes from body shop since your Gilbert is Gay...?

Yeah, sometimes when I extract Gilbert for various things, he ends up with this really horrible chin, and does not look much like himself at all. He's one of those Premades who's had lots and lots of facial surgery to disguise the squiffy genetics.

Actually, now that you mention it whenever I'm in Sim PE his deceased ancestors from the family tree pop up in there, and I've glanced at them and noticed some of them are pretty funny looking. Maxis genetics are just confusing with their fakeout colour eyebrows and such...

Okay, I'm geographically curious now. :) I know you're in France, and I know your parents are traveling in the United States. What I don't know is where you're originally from or what your nationality actually is. You don't write like English is a second language, but not knowing where Ohio is on a map speaks to not being from the US. (Okay, I should say, you come across as too educated to be from the US and not be able to find Ohio on a map. I know we've got plenty of kids who have graduated high school and probably can't even find their home state on a map.)

I had HSBC lock my account once. It was my own stupid fault, but I was still pretty pissed. I'd just sent out a bunch of bills when they locked it, so every single one of those bills bounced. I went into the branch and tore a piece out of the guy they had me talk to. He refunded most of the bounced check fees, but not all of them. I changed banks soon after that, and I've been much happier with my new one.

I'm slightly complicated on that front. I was actually born in Toronto so technically I'm Canadian, but I've lived in France since I was three and half, although I've always spoken english with my family and it's my language of preference really. To further complicate things, I'm now at University in Britain, so I only come back to France for Holidays. But I can't let the french government know that because I'm still working on getting my citezenship and as far as they're concerned my country of residence is still France (although you would think that the application for a student Visa would have tipped them off). So North American English is my first language, and it now comes peppered with British idioms (though my accent has stayed north American) but I was educated entirely in the French school system until I was 17 which is why any knowledge I have, geographical or otherwise, is entirely dependant on their curriculum. Which means that in addition to not knowing much about the US I also never learned about any wars in which the ( ... )

Urgh one part of being a student I really don't miss is being broke all the time. I hope you get things sorted soon.

I love the pictures. I'm at the point with catching up where I'm starting to recognise names that you are talking about now.

Thanks Di. I'm really hoping the broke thing does come from being a student, and that I'm not going to be one of those people who are in debt until they're 40, but I probably will be. I'm pretty good at stretching money when I know I'm getting low (I made it from Cambridge to Stanstead on one pound once) but as soon as I have cash I'll spend it which is my problem...

Yay for catching up :D

Finch spam! Always good. Lark and Wren are seriously my faves this gen, that's also pointless but whatever. ^__^

I LIVE in The US and I don't even know where Ohio is.

I just read your response to Orikes, and you have a fascinating Geographical Background, wow! Living in France must be SO cool. :)

Yep, there's a reason Finch's PJs are shirtless ;) I love Lark and Wren too, they're so much fun! Pointless adoration of the red haired wonder twins always appreciated :D! I'm thinking it's good that they have opposite aspirations, it means they will both be ending up with husbands that the other one is not attracted to so I won't have to worry about them living together after college with ACR on the rampage, because I really would hate to split the girls up.

LOL. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

France is pretty cool I guess yeah ;). It's very different from Canada, but I think if it was a choice between the two I might have some trouble deciding, luckily I have England so I don't need to make a choice. I've started just letting people assume that I'm French Canadian, which is true just not in the traditional sense of the term :)

Contessa and Apollo are the most cuteness ever! Awww... and Opal Ryan is just ticked that she's blonde and not hot enough for him! ;)

Your story sounds so exciting. I'd love to go anywhere, ANYwhere outside of mainland US. (You said Texas! Yay!) I plan on going to Mexico though, next spring for 5 year anniversary. I wish it was Italy, but baby steps, huh? What is France like now? You said hot the other day, I think you did at least.

Awww poor Snow! I love Snow. She's so fragile. I can't wait to see how she changes in university.

Sorry this is rather disjointed...

These pictures were all fabulous! Finch and Lark are probably my favorite of this generation. Snow just annoys me... Actually, she reminds me a lot of my little sister.

Being poor sucks... It is totally time for me to return to school and start paying rent again and I'm totally dreading it... Oh well. One must have an education, right?

Thanks :) Glad you like Finch and Lark, I think they're pretty cool too. I'm so looking forward to college this generation with these kids.

Being poor does suck! I don't get another student loan until the beginning of term, so until then, not awesome.

I think it's because Texas about the size of any european country and occupies a large part of the border ;)

Oh I hope you have fun in Mexico! I've always wanted to go to Latin America, I've never been there, I hear it's cool. You should definitely see Italy in the future if you get the chance, it's pretty great all around.

Snow is rather fragile isn't she, she looks constantly upset unless she's waiting by the makeover chair swaying, it's kind of sad.
