Sigh, well, I'm brokety broke broke, which is fun for me. I was on the phone with HSBC for an hour (which is great when you're dialing internationally) and finally got them to unlock my account so I could go on line and figure out what the heck was wrong with it. Turns out I'm out of money. Orange has been charging my account for my cell phone contract even though I'm away for the summer and not using my phone, which I'd forgotten they did. So I'm into an overdraft I didn't even know I had. I would transfer money from my french account but then they charge me for the transfer and it's not worth it. So that explains why my i-tunes, amazon etc. haven't been letting me use my card.
So I'm down to Euros and local French bookstore, which isn't so bad even though all their books are in french, because my best friend is working there for the summer and I enjoy pestering her, watching her serve customers with that perpetual begrudging look on her face, and she lets me use her 25% discount which I can definitely deal with. She's working in the Kids section which is funny to me because she hates kids, which was ammended this afternoon to "I hate people" actually, she really shouldn't be in customer service, of course she probably shouldn't be illustrating kids' books for a living either, which is what she would like to do. She's got talent coming out her ears but she's not so good with the cutsey stuff.
Also I've just realized I need money to pay my driving school, and to order my scads of over priced art history books for next year, sigh...it's been a long day for many reasons. Nothing to do but wait until the parents get home on Monday. (I think they're in Ohio at the moment...? I couldn't even point to that on a map, but I seriously rarely know exactly where my parents are when they're away working, Italy is my usual guess, although this time I know they're in the US) Sorry that vaguely turned into a rant I didn't mean it to. I sort of was just meaning to spam you with idiot pictures to cheer myself up I swear :)
Anyway, here you go, one pic is vaguely spoilerish if you haven't already figured out where I'm going with this, which you all already have of course...
I think almost everyone is over the cold now, although Apollo tried to start a flu by stomping on bugs, but anyway, there was a quarantine in place for a while and so I was trying to keep aspirations up without the human contact wants everyone is always rolling which is why when Wren rolled the want for a toy making bench she got one. Finch was the only one in the King house who wasn't sick and I intended to keep it that way as you can see he took being sequestered from the rest of the household about as well as you might expect from a Popularity sim with 10 outgoing points.
Everyone kept rolling wants to sneak out with one of the cousins. It's almost the only way to keep this generation happy. They never learn when they come home in a cop car either...
He eventually found other people to keep him and his single nice point company. Since Finch really is only a few days into teenhood most of his friends are family and children so the quarantine was a bit hard on him. He gave the phone a bit of a work out, not that tht helped him with his "Play with Lark" "Talk to Wren" wants...
The first thing I had Lark do when she got better was get a date, she refused to roll any non date wants for the whole of her sickness so she was pretty far into green when she finally got better. Tis is reason 156 why I love this girl, every time I ask her to flirt with a guy she does this. It makes me grin even if Tucker here is a Ben Long clone.
Walk by Malcolm randomly trying to learn Slapdance from a kid who followed Pip home makes me giggle. The Photo doesn't translate it that well but it was pretty funny to watch.
Free will Vanity, who would have thunk. When I was watching him do this I realized that something about Orpheus's features reminds me of the people in Brueghel paintings, I think it's the nose. Yes, after a while Art History takes over your brain. I was cycling with one of my friends the other day and the sky was getting stormy. He decided that it was very El Greco-esque. If you don't know him that sounds poncy, but it definitely wasn't meant that way. Ending random tangent.
Made over Gilbert is pretty Hot. I'm still vaguely ticked at him for being so difficult with Aria but I'm the jacket helps me get over it. Not that I can blame him, I mean I know she's a psychopath and if I were a guy I wouldn't want to be at her mercy either, but she's my evil psychopath and it angers me when men do not bend instantly to her desires. Plus it was his own fault he got throw to her, he threw her a pair of bolts when she randomly walked into J'adore. It also bugged me that he'd keep rolling up wants to make out with her and then reject her...
Yeah he feels the same way about you Miss Opal Ryan so stop heart barfing him every three seconds.
This made me giggle, personal space bubble much?
"Um, Contessa you're standing awefully close to my neck..."
Vasyl, there are two perfectly good knowledge sims in the house who would get a kick out of your scaring them, your Great Granddaughter Snow isn't one of them. And please don't scare River either I almost killed him earlier by sticking him on the energizer without paying attention to his aspiration because everyone else is very easy to keep happy except him and his annoyingly random want panel.
I'm really not mean to Snow! She just walks into these things somehow it's unbelievable! I do feel bad for her.
