An entrance

It enters, or perhaps it was always there, but either way, It is here now, and that is all that matters. It is fuzzy for a moment, as if deciding just what it wants to be - because it can be anything, everything, whenever It cares to be so. It lights on the ground, easily stepping like one about to float back off. It has decided on androgeny today

*furrows his brow just slightly and tilts his head to the side as he studies It carefully without approaching*

Hello, Tace! *grins happily at him, floating a few feet off the ground, legs bent slightly as if It is lounging on air*

*blinks and slowly tilts his head to the opposite side* ...hello. *is...completely confused while relatively sane, this is a first*

Don't you know me? *floats closer, moving Its face so it is mere inches from Tace's. It, of course, feels familiar, but strange all the same*

*thinks carefully about the family relation here, if there is one*

Oh! Are you my divine cousin?

I could be, if you wanted me to be. *tilts Its head, as if pondering the question* We could be brothers or sisters too, or nothing at all.

*just stares, because...this can't be what it feels like, though that's certainly what it looks like, but that just doesn't make any sense, and ok, this whole coherent thought thing is just going to stop now because there is no processing this. there's just not.*

*so, just stands there and stares silently, until her arms tightening around Cleopatra make her mew in protest, which snaps her out of it, although she is still quiet and subdued*

...Hello. My name is Sarah. *another mew prompts her to look down at the kitten, whom she indicates to the new arrival* ...This is Cleopatra. She says 'Hi,' too.

I know. *but not in a know-it-all-way, just a simple, cheerful statment* But hello! *smiles brightly at her, and then tells Cleopatra 'hello' in her own language*

Cleopatra: *mews and stares, expressing confusion as to why the human-shaped thing is speaking cat*

But I so like to be around you. You're all so comfortable. *giggles at the cat, then floats over to rest Its head on Sarah's shoulder as if to prove the point, though physical comfort is not what it meant at all*
