Castor is not by any means experienced in magic, although he's certainly familiar at it, and he can't help but balk at the notice. "Why would you want to do that?" he asks with a wince.

"Why, why would one not? -- I mean," she amends quickly, realizing that that was probably rude, "I think it shall be interesting."

Kalyn's watching her from a corner, speculatively. After all, Kaat had been telling her she needed to find something to do, and this definitely qualified as something to do.

"I might be able to help. If it doesn't involve levitation, that is, because I haven't quite got the hang of it myself yet."

"Levitation?" she echoes, clearly intrigued. "One can do that? I rather thought that was the sort of thing only fairy tale magicians did."

"Well, yeah. It usually explodes for me, though." She wrinkles her nose. "It makes a terrible mess, and Daddy and Papa just give me those looks."
