Soft Rain Kind of Day
The day started wet and cloudy. I took plants to a friend, and then I went out to check on the fifth wheel, since I was in that area anyway. I do that about 3 times a year. Anniversaries
I'm very aware of the fact that I'm approaching a year since Fran died. My best friend. My best quilting buddy. My best traveling buddy (outside of traveling with Paul, of course!). Empty Nest Syndrome - Not
No empty nest here, boss. Child #2 is living in my basement, and requiring a lot of time and energy. Until he gets a vehicle of his own, there seems to be a lot of running around to do. It started because I found some information about the younger brother of the man married to Uncle Charlie's sister. He died on May 9, 1945, during the battles for Okinawa. He was Ben Henry Spross, Jr., a Marine sergeant in the 1st Marine Division.

A Good Week
This is a day I want to remember. Today, I got the letter from the First Presidency in Salt Lake City. My sealing to someone I haven't spoken to in over twenty-five years has been canceled. I can now be sealed for eternity in the temple to Paul, with someone acting proxy for Paul. He still has the right to accept or reject that sealing, but I'm ( Read more... ) -

Not much. Things flow along in a stream of events and I flow with them. My friend from college, a woman I've known slightly less than 50 years, Ernie, is coming out this way, probably in May. Life As I Know It
One thing I know is that it gets too cold in Tennessee. Not Minnesota cold, but not Arizona warm, either. Today it's sunny, but only 35, and tomorrow will be rainy, perhaps slushy, and only a high of 37.
