Not much. Things flow along in a stream of events and I flow with them. My friend from college, a woman I've known slightly less than 50 years, Ernie, is coming out this way, probably in May. She has a time share week she needs to use or lose, so we are going to meet and enjoy the week together. She may come home with me for another few days afterward, too, since I have a guest room. I'll have to clean fabric and blocks and papers off the bed, of course. (smile)
Fran's father died on Friday, and was buried yesterday. He was 95, deaf and had multiple health problems. He's been living in a nursing home the last 18 months, or more, and being miserable. Fran said it was a blessing for him. Her daughter and family came for the funeral. Fran seems to be okay with it all. I hope the chance to talk with her daughter will clear up some issues they've had. Her son lives there, actually in the condo her dad had, which has a complicated ownership. It's partly Fran's and partly her aunt and uncle's, her mother's brother, but was never her parents'. They only lived there.
And in my own life, nothing much happens. I'm concerned about taxes this year. My tax man is not doing them, and I counted on his magic each year. I will have to find someone else, but I don't know where to look. I'm asking for recommendations from people I think might need a good tax man.
I plan a visit to Charlotte the first week in March. I'm going to see Regan and take a free longarm class, too. It's put on by APQS to sell machines, but as long as it's free and I can stay with Regan, that's alright. Otherwise, driving round trip would be one LONG day! The only cost to me will be gas and taking Regan out to eat somewhere. The meatsloaf place, I think!
So now you know. Nothing is going on in my life.
