You were in our lives for such a short time, and I really, really wish we had all had more time together. And even though it hurt us to lose you the way we did, I am still so happy that we were at least able to have some time together.

Thank you. I still question the decision, even though I know in my heart it was the right one. And I still feel incredibly guilty that I was not able to do more for him. I do know he was happy here, though, and we are all better for having been in one another's lives.

Oh, little Buddy. I know how hard it can be to make that decision. But I know you and the family will rest easy knowing that you gave him the best life he could have had in his time with you at the end. You took very good care of him and I believe he took that with him.

I'll tell my Tamlyn to keep an eye on him. :-)

*hugs* beagles are the best. We had Casey until he passed a few years ago. I really miss him too, he was so gentle and made his own little trails in our backyard when we had our house.

Must be a breed trait. Buddy was definitely one of the most gentle dogs I've ever had.
