Life has been a whirlwind lately.

Another Beagle (I am *hoping* it is the one I blogged about briefly here, and that there aren’t anymore abandoned hunting dogs running around.) has found Buddy, and is now sticking around. So I guess we have ANOTHER dog.

I just read the update post on Buddy. Poor thing! Did you talk to the vet about a payment plan? Perhaps they might be willing.

And thank you for giving the new dog a home. I have a feeling they're probably from the same hunter/pack if he's gotten so familiar with Buddy so quick. I can't believe people would treat animals in such a cavalier fashion. Says a lot about their values and how they see life.....

They must be from the same pack...if they're not also related.

I have not discussed a payment plan with the vet; I figured they would have said something when I told them I'd need to save up for the work, if that option was available. I'm sure they'd be willing to work out a payment plan if it was urgent, or life and death or something. But probably not for something like this :/

I haven't actually given the new dog a home...I'm just feeding him and he 'stays' here. Until we can get him to trust us enough to get a harness on him and let me get him to the vet to be checked out, he's still unclaimed. Even though we claim him and have named him! I hope we'll eventually reach the point where he's truly 'ours'.
