Haha. And I am using it to blog.
Life has been a whirlwind lately.
Another Beagle (I am *hoping* it is the one I blogged about briefly
here, and that there aren’t anymore abandoned hunting dogs running around.) has found Buddy, and is now sticking around. So I guess we have ANOTHER dog.
The boys have been calling this one Pretty Boy. He really is a pretty boy! The neighbors say he is already neutered. He’s a slight bit bigger and seems much healthier than Buddy was. Though he has some ticks, he is in nowhere near the pitiful shape poor Buddy was when he found us. He is a bit more speckled than Buddy, and has some really pretty light brown eyes. And he still won’t let us touch him, but we are working on it. He has gotten to the point where he doesn’t run off when he sees us, and will come up and sniff our hands. He rarely leaves our yard now, and we find him snuggled with Buddy in the dogloo some mornings. Awww.
So anyway….that is basically my life now. My morning routine before work consists of taking care of my growing plant collection and the three dogs. Soon to be four, as our Daschund (that we committed to before the other dogs came) is coming home this weekend. Puppy training! I am working my butt off. I have my student loans, Danny’s braces, and am trying to get some bills paid down over the summer. I also still have Buddy’s expensive work to get done, and I have planned a one-day vacation for the boys and I for the end of June. More on that later! And now that this other dog seems to be here for good, I need to fence an enclosure in for the back yard. I can afford the supplies for a chain link fence for an area, but Lowe’s charges an arm and a leg to install it. Does anyone in the Tennessee Valley know of a place which will install a chain link fence for CHEAP? I am going to be looking around.
Speaking of work….I’d best go get ready. It won’t do to show up late today, since it is my last shift before Memorial day. I won’t get my much needed holiday pay if I show up late!
