22. Dessert

They went live in three hours and in the meantime, the entire team was backstage getting their makeup done and relaxing. When Tohoshinki relax, they really spend their time playing silly games and punishing each other. A few card games and a bunch of wrist slaps later, the boys finally tired themselves out for a real break. “The two youngest have to buy some snacks!” Yunho called out as he massaged Jaejoong’s shoulders as his final punishment.

“What? How is that fair? I won the last game! You don’t to call rank on me while we are in Japan!” Changmin kicked Jaejoong’s chair, pushing him into Yunho a bit. True, in Japan they had promised to act less on their Korean habits and more on their newly forming Japanese ones. In Japan, being the youngest didn’t really mean he had to suffer as much as he normally would, so it shouldn’t mean he had to run errands automatically.

Yoochun rolled his eyes at his response, but gave in anyway. “Fine, we’ll play rock-paper-scissors, the loser chooses a partner and goes. Fair enough?” He cocked his head to the side in uneasy relent. Changmin easily accepted the terms, and the other three had no choice but to participate.

Circled in their normal order, shoulder to shoulder and their long hair mixing with their neighbor’s, the five threw their chooses once, twice, three times before they were down to the final two. Changmin and Junsu faced each other off with a vengeful look in their eyes.

“If I lose to you, I’m making you come with me anyway.” Junsu taunted.

“Same here,” Changmin scowled. Their three hyungs surrounded them, chanting the words as they tossed out their hands.

“If you’re a man you’ll throw rock, jan-ken-po!” Changmin threw rock like the man he portrayed and Junsu sneakily flung out paper, claiming victory even if he chucked his pride away. Immediately he jabbed his finger at Junsu’s chest and motioned for him to follow.

“Come on, we’ve got to be quick now.” At this point in their careers and friendship, they didn’t even need to ask what everyone wanted to get the right things. The nearby family mart stocked the exact items they needed.

Despite claiming to be mortal enemies and hating each other, Junsu and Changmin got along well. Their arguments stimulated the funnier side to their relationship, and they ended up laughing at their cruel antics. “We should probably put something in their drinks just to teach them a lesson. Just because we are the youngest, we will not be the errands boys!” Changmin shouted, charging ahead.

“Yeah, and give them something really salty for a snack, so salty that they’ll have to drink it!”

“And buy that brand of ice cream none of us like! We’ll get out revenge!”

“Yes,” Junsu exclaimed. “This will be their just desserts! Nasty snacks for a nasty game!” The two cackled as the entered the store and started filling the shopping basket with products that should never have been made in the first place.
