I actually stopped watching MSNBC and CNN because both of them are starting to sound like Fox with conspiracies and opinion pieces. I know they need to fill up the day with news, but the focus is always on American politics/Social justice, and frankly the world is bigger than that. I am sure the big story if Trump firing another lawyer was was looking into someone, and all the news outlets will run with this story.

I told myself I can only do so much politics in a day and then I need to shut it off...

I like to think the same way about things political -- "I can take it or leave it." One reason I write about it is to emotionally LEAVE it.

Thsnks for writing me about the piece: Kristol is intriguing for his proximity to power -- also to contemporary history of the past 20 years.

You wrote about Trump firing an official who "was looking into someone" -- likely the State Dept. IG into Pompeo.

I used to work there -- and I am glad to have got out before Trump and the current mess happened. (Including out of India -- my last post -- before Modi and the fascist BJP started its rampage.)
