When I saw the face I knew that I had seen him on TV recently, but couldn't quite work out where. Then it hit me...he was the first victim in the first regular episode of COLUMBO, from waaaaaaaaaaay back in the very early '70s. He was very good in it, but then he seems to have been very good in everything-one of those reliable actors who tend to be overlooked precisely because they are so reliable.
ROUTE 66 was shown here when it originally came out, but I don't think that it has ever been shown since. I've noticed that there are a load on YOUTUBE, so I might just watch some. Come to think of it, his other big role was as the police officer in ADAM 12, and I haven't seen that either. I know him from all of the enormous number of shows that he guested on, and as his IMDB list shows, that was a lot!
Gary, you're more au courrant with old American TV series than I am. I'd figured Milner disappeared altogether after his two series -- interesting that he kept getting gigs!
