the picture is amazing. My great great grandfather died in the black forest while walking,a tree branch fell on him because it was a very windy day. to this day no one in my family will walk outside (we live in a very wooded area) when its windy. i want to live/visit there really badly

Austum/fall would be a good time if you're into nature as the leaves are changing. I have some relatives down there and we went quite a bit when I was a kid.
