[ Well, it's a good thing that Tyki's on his best behavior, because here comes a boy with his golem who looks pretty happy - up until he spots him.

. . . how is he all better already? ]

You're out.

No thanks to you, boy.

Don't play games, Tyki Mikk.

And what game would that be?

[spreads his hands, making a small gesture with the journal.]

I've done nothing wrong. I've hurt no one. Maybe I'm content to just mingle with the humans and have a good time.

It would be nice to believe that.

[ It's murmured-but Allen must believe it to some extent, because he isn't drawing, isn't moving to draw. Tim doesn't look happy at all, though. ]

You've heard about this place, haven't you? No one can escape, no one stays dead.

[barks a laugh and doesn't respond to that. ominously, of course.

to that second bit, he just shrugs.]

I'm aware. Makes it rather futile, I think, to do much of anything. Even if the Earl were here, no Akuma could be created. There's no Order here to eliminate. As far as I'm concerned...

[pockets his journal, lacing his fingers behind his head and staring up at the sky with a small smile.]

... I'm on vacation.

Your word, then. That you won't hurt anyone while you're here.

[that brings him up short. he stills, before slowly letting his arms drop. and for a long, long moment, he considers Allen in silence. slowly, without a word, he digs through his pockets, pulling out a cigarette and a ratty book of matches. he takes his time lighting it, replacing the book back in his pocket before taking a long, slow drag.

he's considering it. seriously considering it.

... for a moment. but when he speaks, his voice is quiet and low. somber. almost regretful. keyword being almost.]

No.

[ Of course it couldn't be just that easy. ]

Why not?

[stares at him, one eyebrow raised, then laughs very sharply.]

Why? Boy, I know you're an idealist, but I never took you for an idiot.

You said yourself that it's futile here. If there's no use, there's no point. So, why?

What other point is there? It's fun.

[icon is ... not his exact expression, but definitely the sentiment.]

[ Stare. Stare.

. . . so, moving to slap now. Hope Tyki wasn't enjoying being pain-free or anything. ]

[--ah.

he loses his cigarette. it goes flying to land on the ground a few feet away. Tyki, for his part, doesn't move. however, his entire body is suddenly tense.

just as slowly as before, he sighs, turning his head to look at Allen again, idly rubbing his cheek.]

... you made me lose my cigarette.

[ Allen's shaking. It's not fear, or sorrow-he's furious. To be fair, it's not entirely Tyki's fault and he may not have deserved that entirely, but this is the last straw on the back of a camel that's been breaking down very slowly over time.

Also, he is not sorry about the cigarette. ]

Why are y-When I met you on the train-you played games, you had those friends you were with . . . You were human, then, and no one had to get hurt! Why does it have to be like this now?
