[After finishing her duties with the Rivermen for the day, Calaria finds herself outside the Temple of Alexander, standing by the river. Strange. After his mishap with Zell a week ago, Jeice was heading towards his favorite spot to eat a sandwich, one that would hopefully be more edible than the one last time. This time he had made sure to sneak off unnoticed, so no pesky Brandies would follow him and eat his food.

There was only one problem though. His favorite bench wasn't exactly occupied, but his view of the river from the bench was obscured by some woman in green. Of all the rotten luck... he made a great show of collapsing into the bench, with the wood groaning beneath him, threatening to finally give out. It didn't, however, and Jeice gave a sigh of relief.

Calaria gasped and whirled to look behind her. Sitting on a bench was a man with a dark hat and a long face. He wasn't THAT bad-looking, though. Oh come on.

Who is he? Calaria thought. Probably one of the locals.

She waited for him to introduce himself first.

Suddenly Jeice found himself the object of attention, which for most people, would be the moment he would introduce himself and apologize for the near incident of breaking the bench. But damned if this wasn't Jeice's one time of the day he enjoyed most, so he wasn't going to have some woman he'd never seen before spoil it. He began eating his sandwich very deliberately, fixing his attention two feet to the right and one foot above the woman. There was still river in that direction, but he couldn't see the dock where all the gulls liked to congregate.

Calaria was still waiting for this newcomer to introduce himself to her. She wasn't about to let him know who she was first. She made a somewhat obvious show of coughing into her hands, just to get his attention.
