What fandoms did you acquire in 2015?The Force Awakens. And Finn/Poe, oh my god. I've fallen and I can't get up. Except, there are over 500 stories on AO3 for this pairing now and no one is writing what I want to read. Lack of involvement in the greater SW universe. You know what they say; if you can't find what you want, write it yourself

Yeah, SPN and Charlie...that was a dealbreaker for me, too. But I had already moved on. And yes! I agree, better to do it in your journal where I can go and read it! *g*

I would definitely check out some Finn/Poe if you write it! That was the one pair I came out of TFA shipping, but not to the extent that I wanted to dig through the onslaught of fic I expect has followed (and I've been too immersed in other stuff to feel compelled to write it myself.) While I enjoyed the movie a lot at the time, I just...haven't wanted to get back into SW fandom in that way. But good fic by authors I know I like would be welcome for sure...

I was thinking about you, specifically, when I got home from the theater after seeing TFA! I was having a flashback to TPM days, and how quickly the fandom grew, but I think TFA has actually outpaced TPM in the sheer amount of fic being produced. Those were good days, tho. Oh to be young and naive in fandom, and to write whatever the hell springs to mind. *g*

(I am having a hard time slogging through the fic. Some of it is so...young. And the anachronisms. aaah.)

Heee! I was totally flashing back to coming home from the midnight showing of TPM and immediately falling into Q/O like crazy. But it doesn't surprise me that things are moving so much faster even today, though I have a feeling a lot of it is even more disposable than ever. But that could be my cranky old dinosaur bones creaking.

(It is interesting to me, though, that I recently fell into an old fandom/ship, one that's not really active any longer. And it's actually been a breath of fresh air for me to be reading fic that's not filled with the tropes and styles that seem to dominate today. Boy I'm feeling old...)

Haha, I didn't even remember Vikings when talking about fandoms I'd dropped, and I remember how much enthusiasm there was for it (from me as well as others) at Escapade. But, yeah. Hot potato.
