Hi, I am back. GUESS WHAT. It was as advertised. That rescue ending?! THAT IS THE 15 minutes EVERY SHOW SHOULD HAVE. I feel I am random capsing a bit too much lately, but I feel so strongly about the beauty of that ending that I can not uncaps it. Thank you for doing this service. Also if you were to find any post-fanfic...that would be OK if you let me know. I feel there is room in my heart to squeeze it in.

Ahahaha, I thought of you RIGHT AWAY when they started torturing Steve. I even thought, I should email her about this, because it's even better than that time the building collapsed on Steve and Danny. :D

There are some ep tags on AO3 but nothing I would recommend. Not that this will stop me from checking back later of course.

The last 15 or so minutes definitely makes this episode. And the fanvid at the end, where there is tacit acknowledgement of the Steve/Danny contingent. *g*

Agreed on all points. In fact, this whole season has been pretty good. They seem to trying to get back to basics and although the show will never be what it was back in Season 1, it's definitely an improvement.

And yeah, Alex killed during the whole episode but especially the last few minutes.

I've sort of been fast-forwarding through eps this season, but now I will have to slow down and pay attention. (They had lost me last season with the random guest stars and the no Kono. I missed Kono.)

Agreed--this was the show I fell in love with! And that absolutely was a fanvid at the end. So marvelous. The show definitely brings the bromance.

Kudos to AOL, he did a fantastic job. Also, loved how SC played over-the-top brutal yet congenial in Steve's dream sequences.

Heh heh, Danny in a Hawaiian shirt was so great. (Danny shooting Spike in the leg twice, not so great. I know they were trying to play up the difference between Steve 'means to an end' McGarrett and Danny's initial 'YOU CANNOT DO THAT OMG' dynamic, but that was sort of not it.) Everything else, tho, was very pleasing. I like Chi McBride so much. I'm glad he is on this team now.

Just to be clear, I found that version of Danny horrifying. But I was fascinated by how well SC played it. He was utterly convincing.

I adore Chi McBride! I think his character fits in really well.
