They never found Crixus' body either... and unfortunately, I don't think it would make sense for Spartacus to survive; it makes no sense for the character. All (or almost all) of the slaves who followed him to freedom and trusted him to protect them are crucified - but not him, because he escapes somehow? He simply would not do that.
Plus, what would he do after? His whole life is fighting against Rome and freeing slaves. There is nothing else left for him. It would be horribly depressing for him to survive, in a way; think of the guilt he'd have to live with.
True enough, but there are so many theories about that. One I've been partial to is that the Romans were looking for someone equivalent to an officer, and Spartacus was likely wearing common armor, if he wore any at all. (That of course works not at all in the show universe since it seems EVERY ROMAN AND THEIR BROTHER has seen Spartacus, but you know. Theories. *g*) Plus there were thousands and thousands of bodies, and many were probably mashed/cut up. Poor Spartacus.
Hey, Roman territory is littered with convenient amphitheaters and abandoned temples. Littered! If they look a little harder they'll find a public bathhouse somewhere in the woods.
This was the first ep this season where I liked Naevia. Kore was amazing, too.
Whether they live on together, or die together, I'm good so long as they are not parted. Yes! But I hope they get a little more reunion screentime in the next ep. And Agron was so shattered at the end of this ep - which I liked, because it would have been laughable for him to come down from a cross and be all "oh yay, I live and am back with my lover, sweet!" about it. I want to see some hope back in him... and some sign that his hands aren't a lost cause after all? I mean, there's loads of time! The end really doesn't have to be that drawn out! Like, at all. Please? *whimper

I thought Caesar wanted Agron to train his soldiers to be a better match against the gladiator-trained members of Spartacus' army, which makes sense to me.
Oh, I see! That must be it. Though really, that is also quite bizarre - I'm not surprised it didn't occur to me that this is what he meant, because, uhm, yeah, like that's any possibility at all...
