Who Takes, Gives by Kryptaria - Bond/Q, 36,632 words. This is a crossover with Sherlock, which caused me to skip it, initially. But to my pleasant surprise, the Sherlock stuff is mostly in the background, and used to inform character, which makes it tolerable to a non-Sherlock

I miss those days too! Obviously i know that i've really slowed my reccing of merlin, but i used to rely on recs like everyone else so i,m lost for what to read in merlin and going fic diving on ao3... I just don,t have the heart for it atm.

But i,m loving your first rec there so far. Awesome.

I...may have to read the golden retriever one! Just because, omg, that sounds like the kind of cracktacular premise that used to happen in SGA, and by and large, those stories were ridiculously enjoyable. :-)

I so agree. Another of my all-time favorite stories in this fandom has Merlin as a cat (unbeknownst to Arthur). There's a scene where Arthur cuddles Merlin after a dog attacks him, and months later, it put me in mind of this gif set when I reblogged it on tumblr and literally? It was all I could do not to write a snippet of Arthur the kitten non-con-grooming Merlin-the-kitten. Eventually I recovered my sanity, but it was close. *g*

I have other 00Q recs, for stories that I kind of loved a lot, and should assemble them. For the most part I found them at Polyamorous recs, through movies_michelle's rec of the day posts, or over here when I asked for recs a while back. In case you want to go scouting before I get around to the post, given how things seem to go around here. Heh.

Thanks for the suggestions for fic recs. I always like checking out rec lists instead of just jumping in headfirst like I sometimes have to do with fandoms I just want to dip my toes in for a bit.
