I was little surprised the dragons weren't dragons -- but then they have a crappy ass CW budget and it also fits how the show has done every other monster.

I liked the episode, I'm curious where they are going to go with the Mother theme of there being a mother for all Monsters -- like God is the father of Angels and Demons really. I am still hoping they do go with Mary being purgatory at least, I wouldn't mind John there too, I just don't think that's the case. But Mary, yeah pretty sure her ghostly self sent herself there.

And yeah, Sam saved the world, the guilt he feels at what he did without his soul -- isn't something I think should be swept under a rug but I hope they don't dwell too long on it. But I do want to see where they go with it, and what else he did in that year to give the story some closure, I guess.

The Mother theme is interesting, but I'm not sure I'm sold on that creature being the new big bad of all time...that will take some doing, I think. Hopefully they're going to rev that up in the next few eps and show us why she's scary.

But I do want to see where they go with it, and what else he did in that year to give the story some closure, I guess.

I agree, and this is why I'm glad they gave Sam's soul back mid-year instead of waiting much longer to do it. Now they can explore repercussions, find closure...that's going to make me happy.

I wanted a stronger hug too, but now reflecting, it was almost like switched hugging roles. Last time it was all Dean hugging with Sam barely hugging back and this kinda flipped it. I think we'll get more, the real one, later, unless I'm just delusional. That's been known to happen.

Ha! Not delusional. :) I suspect they're all hugged out for the year, tho. Only one live and actual brotherhug per season, that's the rule, right? *g* (Home season 1, AHBL season 2, Mystery Spot season 3, Lazarus season 4, nothing in season five (that I remember, anyway!), this ep season six. I guess we've reached quota.)

I loved the Hogwarts line :) I loved that they didn't drag out the "when Sam finds out about the past year" for the rest of the season. I loved the hug, and Dean wanting so badly for Sam to not have to know.

And yeah, I remember Glory *g*

I dunno, I liked it a lot--but remember, we've long since established I'm a lot easier than the majority of people watching :)

I suspect there's going to be fallout in the 'when Sam finds out' department. I hope so, anyway! I'd like to see a bit of Sam reconciling memories. He's got hell locked away, but apparently the rest of it is locked up, too, and the bleedthrough would be kind of fun. *g*

I think if I had to pick words to sum up how I felt about this one, it would be both "promising" and "satisfying ( ... )

Oh, it was child -- I wasn't sure first viewing but heard it more clearly the second.

I thought so, but my ears are all stuffy and I don't trust them, even with earbuds in. Thatnks for the independent confirmation!

since he has no memory of the experience, he doesn't have the gut-punch of knowing how callous and unfeeling he was. I didn't expect that he would lose the memory of the season up til now, but it makes sense.

*nod* I would expect there'll be additional fallout on this in the eps to come; the ending of the ep definitely made me think there will be some bleedthrough of emotions and memories, and so it'll be interesting to see how that all plays out.

It would have been very funny if the dragon was just this wee thing. Like the baby dragons in Shrek. *g*

Memo to Sam: YOU SAVED THE WORLD. If your meatsuit spent a little while topside hunting things and killing things and screwing hookers, I'm okay with that.

And Dean seems OK with that. He instantly forgives Sam, actually he really believes there is nothing to forgive and I love him as a protective big brother for that. Dean doesn't understand why Bobby has PTSD regarding Sam, and as we find out what happened that year Dean was with Lisa, Dean probably won't understand why EVERYONE doesn't instantly forgive Sam and love him.

Also, even with Dean not wanting Sam to risk remembering, Dean respected Sam's choice to find out everything about RoboSam and try to atone. Good Dean, here's a biscuit!

And Sam was all 'I have to make it right!' Newsflash, that's what led you down the path to demon blood and Lilith killing and falling into the Pit. I'm totally with you on this one Destina - forgive yourself, Sam! And if someone else won't, tell Dean they killed your pony and watch him go postal on their ass.

Hmm, you know, this is an interesting point. Given that Dean spent most of season 5 not instantly forgiving Sam, and that he knows PTSD pretty well from firsthand experiences post-Hell, I think he would expect that people might not be welcoming to Sam if the Sam they knew was roboSam. The interesting thing to me is that not!Sam and Sammy are two distinct beings to Dean, like they are to most of fandom, I think -- he felt one was not his brother, and the other one is. So that's going to cause him some weird dissonance. To him, the one that wasn't Sam is "gone" and Bobby shouldn't be scared.

It'll be fun to see how that goes. *g*
