I wanted to write something very meaningful but somehow I got distracted...

THANK YOU FOR THIS VID!!! To be honest, Val Kilmer wearing aviator glasses would have been enough to make me happy, but this is so much more! The "I don't get it" lines made me so happy, I felt they were a perfect match for my prompt. And the "shoot first, think last, forgive me" PERFECT! I love the Charlie point of view so so much and I love everything you wrote in your notes!

All I can say to that is, THANK GOD. I desperately did not want my credits to give me away by being lame, ugly, technically horrible, or predictable. There was much pondering and hand-wringing over the credits. *g*

Oh, des, thank you. Seriously. When this movie came out, I was working with the Navy (submarines, not airplanes, but the same boys club atmosphere) and had just ended four years with my Lt. Wrong, a Marine aviator (Harriers, not Tomcats, but there's not much difference.) I think I had to watch the movie three times before I could get past all the levels it pinged me on. So, yes, really, thank you for showcasing Charlie. I've always loved the gorgeous visuals of the movie, but here they become a part of her, too, because I think she had to have loved the planes to do what she did and be so good at it.

also, jfc, it would appear I still have a thing for Viper.

Your comment caused me to do an actual happy dance. :D :D For me, I wasn't pinged on any any level when I first saw the movie (unabashed love at first sight!), but in later years, all I could think about was, OMG so hot jesus they are all sexist pigs and it was ruining things for me. I think I have it out of my system now. Vids are so cathartic that way. *g*

Viper is the hottest thing in that movie, no doubt. :D

Oh wow, I'm sorry I missed this one before. I loved this move like crazy in the late 80's in my young teen slasher-to-be, h/c-loving sort of way, and this vid at once reminded me of all the things that made me go GUH and gave me some other things to think about too.

Oh wow, this vid! Yes, I don't get it but I'm still right here, definitely that with this movie. I just cannot get over the bromance, it is too powerful.
