Send in the Clowns

The disappearance of Harley Quinn for a number of days consequently brought about the appearance of a mysterious object in the middle of the front hallway. A cardboard box trap that would fit maybe a medium-sized dog sat on a table that had been painted bright red - and inside the box sat a one-hundred-dollar bill. No strings attached, not glued to the table, and so very obviously trap-like that someone might pass it up.

Of course, those who would leave it, Harley held no interest in. Money was worthless here, but the doctor in Harley was curious. Men were so innately greedy. Even if they didn’t need it, who would leave it, and who would try? So, she sat on a chair by the banister on one of the upper floors over looking the entrance hall with some tiny opera glasses and watched.

For those who should choose to pick up the money - beware. Well masked by the height at which it is strung, a large cage hangs from the ceiling directly over the red table. Blue eyes keen on her subject, Harley smiles mischievously, her fingers fiddling with a very foreboding remote.

(Typist Disclaimer-ish: As far as she is concerned, the people who fall into her trap are simply test subjects, and could be subjected to any of the following: electric shocks, bruising, broken bones, and mind bending verbal abuse.)
