The doors open and in walks a tallish, slender blonde woman.  Her heels click in a way that suggests professionalism, though this is somewhat at odds with the eye makeup dripping down her cheeks and the few faint splatters of blood that have found their way onto her body.  She is a bit disheveled, but the look of resignation on her face (and the ( Read more... )

Well, she can always ask Lara. She's bored to death in the lobby.

She sees another woman, dark-haired and from the looks of her rather strong. Yes, she will be asking her the requisite questions, beginning with a terse but not altogether unfriendly, "Where am I?"

"I know I'm stating the obvious. It's called the Hotel. It's on an island. To my knowledge you can't get out, or communicate with the outside world."

Her tone is stern, serious.

Dakota appreciates this straightforwardness.

"And I'm assuming that nobody knows how people get here?" she asks.

Weirder things have happened to her - but that doesn't mean this isn't still odd.

It might be that she's a pretty blonde, or the blood, or just the fact that things like this seem to attract people like Angel, but he's lurking in the corner of the lobby when she comes in. His first inclination was to go see if she needed help; he can tell, though, that she's tough.

"Hi," he says, stepping out from the shadow.

"Hi," she replies. "Any idea where the hell I am?"

He is free to try and be as suave and charming as he likes, but she probably won't notice right now (or ever). However, a bit of honest friendliness would be appreciated.

He's more awkward than anything else.

"As far as I know? In a hotel ... In some split dimension."

That is probably a good thing. He has answers, however vague they may be, and that's what matters right now.

"A split dimension," she repeats, disbelievingly. "And how did I get here?"

A pair of yellow eyes, hidden in blue skin are watching intently. Mystique, whoever, is well concealed in the shadows.

She's trying to make up her mind on this one.

Dakota has seen some quite unique things in her life, particularly as of late, so she wouldn't be too disturbed.

Cautious at first? Yes, probably. Apprehensive even? Oh, yes. But she's a rational woman, and will behave as such unless challenged.

And Mystique isn't up to blowing her cover just yet - she managed to remain uncovered in the Hotel for over half a year, and it's just as well that way.

She remains at her observation point, trying to figure out Dakota, for possible friend, or foe.

Dakota is looking around the place, searching for some clue as to where the hell she's ended up. Her blue eyes are wide, her expression analytical.

She makes a conscious effort not to fiddle with her syringes. It's her one nervous habit, but she tries with all her might to play it cool.
