She is less than thrilled at this prospect, having dealt with a few too many 'could be anythings' especially as of late. She likes logic, answers and things that make sense. This doesn't make sense and right now... she is not in the mood for it.
However, she doesn't want to seem rude. "I'm sorry if I seem a bit perturbed," she says.

She doesn't mean to be threatening or creepy. And she'd never use that on anyone who didn't deserve it. But he'd probably be right in thinking it could hurt. If nothing else, it's just a comfort for her, to know that were she to come across these aforementioned psychos, she'd be ready.
This is not the way to start off with someone, though, and so she forces a smile and introduces herself, extending a hand. "I'm Dakota."
