And have another Wayne walking through the lobby and then freezing for a moment. "Oh my God. Bruce." He runs over to his son. "Bruce. Bruce, hold on, I'll get you out of there."

Bruce freezes and stares at him for a moment, not really seeing who it is, then makes a muffled whimpery noise and closes his eyes.

Thomas takes a deep breath and starts carefully peeling off the duct tape.

He lets out a slightly muffled noise that might be a whimper or another scream, and sags back against the chair, panting, in an effort to get his breath. "No -- no, get away.."

Ever the committed doctor, Jon feels the need to check up on all of his patients. He makes his way down to the lobby a few hours later, finding his way all too easily in the dark, and smirks at the sigh of Bruce still in his chair. Granted, it is the middle of the night, but he would've expected something.

"All alone, hmm?" He laughs, low and cold and amused, and rips the tape off of Bruce's mouth.

Bruce whimpers a little and shies away, shaking his head violently. "No -- no, I'm not--" But he is, and he knows it, so he just shakes his head more and tries to curl up, panting.

"Denial is the first step to acceptance." He pets Bruce's cheeks and loosens up the ropes a bit. "Good for you."

[goddamnbat]

"Get away," with a soft whimper. "I don't -- get away from me," he finishes desperately, growling.

[water_viper]

O-Ren Ishii is actually stunned for a moment, she's seen worse (done worse) but she wasn't expecting it here. She studies him from a distance, taking note of all the details before stepping forward and pulling the duct-tape from his mouth none too gently. "Bruce?"

That duct-tape was in the process of muffling a scream, so, O-Ren gets to be treated to a hoarse yell. Bruce takes one look at her and shakes his head violently, trying to move as far away as possible -- it's difficult, considering he's still tied to a chair.

[water_viper]

"Hey!" She snaps his fingers in his face to focus his attention. "Hold still and behave yourself or I won't untie you." Unfortunately perhaps for Bruce, just because she's on his side for the moment doesn't mean she's friendly.

[goddamnbat]

"Noo --" It's not quite a whimper and not quite a moan. He shrinks back as much as he can into his chair, shaking his head again.

[heroweneed]

Here, Bruce. Have the one situation you wanted most to avoid - a Harvey Dent coming to your rescue. "Bruce? Oh god."

[goddamnbat]

"Ngh--" is about all Bruce can manage at the moment. He flinches away from Harvey a bit and ducks his head, shaking.

[heroweneed]

Harvey stares at the cuts on Bruce's chest in horror. "I'm going to kill the Joker," he says, his voice tight with rage. Who else could be responsible, after all?

"This is - " He stops himself, because the first priority now is Bruce. "I'll get Alfred."

[goddamnbat]

It's a good thing he's still got the duct tape on, because it mostly muffles his screams. Bruce is still looking at his lap, trembling and making muffled noises that are mostly whimpers and hoarse screams.

Heading back downstairs, Max spots Bruce and frowns. "Resident psychopath strikes again?" She heads on over and in one quick pull, rips off the duct tape. "There. Better?" She moves to start working on getting those ropes untied too.

Bruce gasps a little and just stares at her for a few moments, then starts trembling agin, taking shaky breaths.

"You're okay," Max tries to assure him. "What happened?"

He just shakes his head and curls up. Or tries to, anyway.
